The air-to-water heat pump, using a natural heat-source of the environment – the air –, does makes heating, hot water preparation but also cooling in the house extremely inexpensive, through solar exposure leads to a constantly regenerating heat of the ambient air. This energy is absorbed by the heat pump at a low temperature level and transferred to a higher temperature level, in order to use it for the typical household applications.
Since many years the Japanese manufacturer TOSHIBA delivers heat pump technology at a high level. The Inverter, developed after a long period of research work, is able to coordinate two control modes so that the twin-rotary compressor always operates at the most optimal energy-saving mode.
Only as much capacity as effectively required will be produced. At full-load mode Toshiba’s heat pumps reach an efficiency ratio of up to 4.66 (COP), at part-load conditions even higher!
With heat pumps you are flexible; combinations with already existing, conventional heating systems (oil, gas, pellets etc.) are possible, as well as a convenient cooling during summertime by the installation of “fan coils”. Those consist of vented heat exchangers, which absorb the warmth from the room air and transport it through the system medium (water and anti-freeze additives) to the outdoor unit. The warm water production and the storage will also be maintained during cooling operation.
